One of the many benefits of off roading is gaining access to remote areas. Enjoying these areas while camping is a full immersion experience. A precious gift in life.
Full disclosure, I have enjoyed the outdoors all my life. Sports like skiing, skating, horseback riding, swimming in the ocean, fishing and countless other activities but I haven’t camped much. Hand in hand with my off road learning curve there’s the camping one also.
I do have a tent and two sleeping bags that will do for now. In my information search I came across an interesting way to get more exposure to the many items that are useful for camping.
A company called, Nomadik put together a delivery box schedule containing equipment, supplements, clothing that are camping oriented. There was a few options, quarterly, 6 months and yearly subscriptions. After checking out a few YouTube reviews I signed up for the six month subscription. One box a month for six months. I felt it was a good deal for me because I’m starting from scratch and the reviews of the products by experienced campers/outdoors men and women where positive.
My first box arrived and I’m happy with it. The packaging is appealing. This box contains a Grand Trunk Single Hammock, UCO Hurricane matches, Ursa Major Essential skin tonic, Nuun Hydration instant electrolyte drink mix, Gear Aid tenacious Tape -a tent and jacket repair kit, and a Nomadik sticker. I want to try hang the hammock on two trees outside my home. I’d like to bring it on my next hiking trip. It’s light and very small, easy to bring along. The matches and the tent repair kit are going in the case with my tire deflation compressor.
