Building A Recovery Kit

PART 2

I find it both interesting and exciting to buy recovery gear. It’s like unwrapping Batman’s utility belt. Or a weapon that will save the day.

Finding recovery gear that keeps to my philosophy of buying local is not hard. I purchased my second piece of equipment From RhinoUSA, a business located in Southern California.

I have a full size spare tire in my vehicle but multiple punctures can happen and repairing a tire so that you can get to a repair center is a sound decision and the tools you need are not too big or outrageously priced.

I bought the compact tire repair kit from RhinoUSA because I wanted a kit that didn’t take up space and my tires are 17 inches.

The kit came in a sturdy storage box and included 14 pieces. Starting from a utility knife, to the plugs.

Compact kit in the box

I am satisfied with the kit and quality of the pieces. The storage box slips right into my Recovery Box.

All the components out of the box

There’s plenty of plugs. In the pic there are two sleeves one on top of the other in the box. I’m going to find an old tire to try this out.
